Join your former colleagues at one of the periodic agenda-free drop-in gatherings of Langara retirees.<\/span><\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n Casual gatherings are scheduled throughout the year. In the spring, summer and early fall, the Langara Golf Clubhouse has always been a great place to meet colleagues and friends, have some lunch or an afternoon beer, and tell stories.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n Between October and April, our gatherings may be held at local pubs.<\/span><\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n Gatherings will be announced through our email discussion list<\/a>, LCAR Facebook<\/a> group, and under News & Events page<\/a>. \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n The Langara Gala was reignited by LCAR in the fall of 2017. It\u2019s a showcase of music and words by Langara retirees. Funds raised through ticket and merchandise sales go to supporting Studio 58. The Gala is scheduled annually. The next date will be announced through announced through our email discussion list<\/a>, LCAR Facebook<\/a> group, and under News & Events page<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n Our annual social includes the LCAR\u2019s Annual General Meeting. But relax \u2013 these “meetings” are typically just a few announcements and a brief (15-20 minute) chat about business matters such as the election members to our Board.
